Baywatch - Review
Those that have been attracted to Dwayne Johnson for his toughness can watch him do the same but in a more comedic fashion in the revival of Baywatch. He is joined by no other than Zac Efron as well as Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra. The movie which had a budget of $69 million was highly anticipated but only has a rating of 19% on rotten tomatoes based on 187 reviews and an average rating of 4/10.
It premiered in the United States of America on May 25 and has grossed $176 million worldwide. David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, the original stars of Baywatch also made small cameos in the movie. Despite the film's moderate success, critics gave it negative reviews while fans had split opinions on whether it was even a good idea to re-do a movie of that pedigree as it is deemed a classic.
As someone who watched the movie, it's fair to say that the movie was overrated when considering how and the large amounts of money that was spent on marketing. However, the movie was nominated in 5 different categories at the Teen Choice awards and won one.
The film has since been released on Digital HD and Blu-ray and DVD.
