Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

After the success of the first movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was released in American theaters on May 5, 2017 having premiered in Tokyo on April 10, 2017. With a star studded line up which includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista among others and a reported budget of $200 million, only the best was expected.

The movie which has an IDMb rating of 8.1 can be watched in 3D and IMAX 3D. It has already grossed over $732 million worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film of the year so far. Just like the first part, the humor was praised by critics as well as the soundtrack which has made it onto the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.
After the success that it has had already, there is talk of making it a trilogy but the writer and director James Gunn is not yet sure whether he would have any part in the third movie although he is certain that Marvel would want to make another movie.

Having watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the cinema myself, I can safely say that those 136 minutes kept me laughing and interested throughout but of course watching the 1st part at home before the 2nd part in the theaters would be ideal in order to follow the story easily.
