The Island - Review
With a 6.9 IMDb rating, it's almost always certain that the movie in question will live up to expectations. That was the case with "The Island", a science fiction-action film directed by Michael Bay. One might wonder why the film received mixed reviews from other critics such as rotten tomatoes (40%) as it was a movie to remember during that period.
The Island was released on 22 July 2005 and grossed over $162 million worldwide making a profit of more than $35 million after it's original budget was $126 million. It is nearly 12 years old but the film will surely keep you glued to the screen as Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson, Djimon Hounsou and Sean Bean are the big stars.
The Island was nominated for various awards including the Teen Choice Award.
