Why Him - Review
Imagine not approving of your loved one's decisions but having to find a way to deal with it because it's what makes them happy. That's the case of the film "Why Him?" which one would say has a self explanatory title. A 2016 American comedy film directed by John Hamburg, written by Hamburg and Ian Helfer and starring James Franco, Zoey Deutch and Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston.
The release of the movie was originally planned to be 11 November 2016 before the date was pushed back to December, 23, 2016. "Why Him?" was expected to gross $10-$14 million from approximately 3000 theaters over it's first four days of release. It grossed $3.9 million on it's first day and $11 million during it's opening weekend (a four-day total of $15.5 million).
The production budget of the project was $52 million and the movie grossed $60.3 million in the United States and Canada and $57.7 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $118 million. Having missed the film in the theaters I bought it on DVD after it was released on March 28, 2017.
"Why Him?" is almost 2 hours long and it is a movie that I would recommend amongst comedies and it is also available on Blu-ray.
